Windows Server 2008 R2 is Microsoft's mainstream server operating system, and the world's most popular server computing platform.  It complements Windows 7/Vista/XP, which is the world's most popular desktop computing platform.  The two are designed to work together seamlessly.

Windows Server has an enormous feature set and underpins the infrastructure which powers all of Emantra's Software-as-a-Service offerings and its own datacentre operations, ensuring they knit in closely with your Microsoft desktop experience.

Emantra delivers Hosted Windows Server as a customer service on both physical and virtual platforms. These services are used by our customers to run a large range of their own applications, either supported by Emantra or the customer iteself.  In any case, Emantra will manage the underlying server performance, fundamentals, patching, maintenance, back-up etc and customers can focus on their application without the distractions of the physical hardware or network.

IIS is a standard enabled component of Emantra's Microsoft Windows Server hosted services which enables high-availability complex websites to be run efficiently on Emantra's hosted Windows Server platform.
