Introduction
Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 (OCS 2007) is an enterprise real-time communications solution, providing the infrastructure to allow secure instant messaging, presence, audio-video conferencing and web conferencing functionality within your organisation and between your organisation and the world.
OCCS 2007 delivers streamlined communications for your users so they can find and communicate with the right person, right now, from the applications they use most.
Emantra's Hosted OCS 2007 service is the first fully-managed outsourced offering of its type in Australia. We take care of the complex server side infrastructure and deliver a service accessed by your users through the simple Microsoft Office Communicator 2007 or LiveMeeting interface, with Outlook integration. It is the first step towards the vision of Unified Communications, which provides the platform for convergence between IT and telephony infrastructure.
Presence
Presence enables real-time status of employees (based on calendar information, login/activity status, and user preference) to be displayed across the organization and/or selected colleagues to enable users to contact the right person the first time using the best communications method.
Instant Messaging
Enterprise instant messaging enables instant messaging with the security, manageability, and reliability required for enterprise communications. OCS 2007 has the capability to log and archive all instant message traffic passing through the server and to create Call Detail Records for conferences and voice. These features provide a measure of compliance, increasingly a legal or prudent requirement for many organisations.
Web Conferencing
Web conferencing is an optional functionality of Emantra's Hosted OCS 2007 offering. It provides a virtual meeting experience that integrates data, content, applications, video, voice, media, and text to enable real-time communication and collaboration whenever you need it. Your Hosted OCS web conference experience can be enhanced in the Board Room by the addition of the Microsoft RoundTable web conference camera and full-duplex video/audio device which will be available as a hardware purchase from Emantra in March 2008.
Live Meeting
If you're just looking for on-demand web conferencing, not the permanent desktop functionality of OCS 2007, then Emantra also offers the new Microsoft Office LiveMeeting by on-line subscription. This is a Microsoft hosted service supported by Emantra. View an interactive demonstration here.

The services listed above are shared resource services including unlimited users and unlimited subsites. Dedicated servers either virtualised or physical, at different sizes and levels of performance, are also available. Price on application. Hosted Sharepoint WSS 3.0 is also available as a bundled service with integrated Hosted Exchange 2007, Office Communications Server 2007 and Dynamics CRM 4.0.
